The NeoTool team has a unique blend of healthcare, clinical and integration expertise. For the past 15 years, the team has been involved with the design, development, implementation, marketing, and support of many of the communication engines used in healthcare today.
Our experiences with healthcare engines began in 1989 with Network Express, an engine used as a front end for insurance companies and CAI, one of the first healthcare engines designed for clinical applications. Throughout the 1990s we tested and implemented several engines.
In 1994, as a result of the challenges encountered with repurposing engines designed for commercial applications for healthcare, Dave Shaver led a team in the design and development of Cloverleaf®. In addition to our work with Cloverleaf, our knowledge base was expanded through the marketing and implementation of two additional key healthcare integration engines: Eclipsys' EWebit and SeeBeyond's eGate. Each experience expanded our understanding of today's demanding healthcare workflow and integration requirements.
The foundation of our clinical systems' knowledge came from key responsibilities within HBOC, Eclipsys, Image Data, Misys Healthcare, Sunquest, and Antrim. Working at these organizations provided us with a solid comprehension for the clinical needs of a broad range of hospitals, reference labs, imaging centers, and software and medical device vendors. The experience and insight we gained formed the foundation for our knowledge of the requirements of high volume, real-time, mission-critical healthcare applications.
